While this Redwood Burst six-piece shell-set doesn't come with cymbals or a hardware pack, the build and finish is of such a high quality that the price is still surprising. The Mapex Armory MXAR628SCTK Redwood Burst Shell Set

Shaped using a combination of maple birch and birch, each of the shells are 7.2mm thick with an ash outer layers and maple inner layers. This considered construction ensures a balanced sound with masses of focus and tonality and outstanding articulation. The birch gives the overall tone its high-end boost while the ash makes sure that the mid-frequencies are kept present and balanced. This kit comes with two hanging 10x 8-inch toms and two 12x 9-inch toms; a 14x 14 and 16x 16-inch floor tom; a 22x 18-inch bass drum and a 14x 5.5-inch Tomahawk Steel snare drum.
