Drumming with brushes requires a different approach and completely different playing techniques. If you want to be taught everything by the master himself, pick up this helpful starter pack including 'The Sound of Brushes' by Ed Thigpen, a pair of brushes, and a sizzler chain. In addition to Thigpen's widely used drumming technique, the book includes loads of useful exercises, contains full-size stroke diagrams and comes including CDs loaded with swing, bebop, R&B and funk backing tracks that you can play along to.
