General

The Showtec ColorCue 4 DMX console sets up any smaller venue or theatre with a solid and extensive light-show control system. Create atmospheric scenes to accent and enhance the live performance while controlling various channels via 48 chases and a bank of tactile faders. Another useful feature is the set of six colour encoders that can be patched to mix the colours of any linked fixtures. As such, this console not only allows you to adjust the functions of connected lighting using specified faders, but to mix in a touch more blue as needed.

Wrote the following about Showtec ColorCue 4 DMX Controller

Honnête jeu d'orgue pour animer et éclairer des spectacles pas trop complexes : les réglages sont assez délicats à maîtriser et ne sont pas conservés en mémoire lorsqu'on éteint l'appareil (la prise USB à l'arrière ne sert à rien et on se demande pourquoi elle est là ?).
Utilisable en 48 canaux ou en 24 canaux avec double commande, l'appareil permet de préprogrammer des effets de lumière mais le réglage des couleurs des LEDs est assez délicat et produit parfois des effets surprenants.
Le mode d'emploi n'est pas très clair et exige de procéder par essais et erreurs.
Toutefois, eu égard à son prix très modeste, les fonctionnalités proposées suffiront à pas mal d'organisateurs de spectacles (théâtre, danse, cabaret).
Nous n'avons pas testé ses fonctionnalités destinées à des animations de piste de danse mais il semblerait qu'elles soient assez complètes.

Showtec has just announced the addition of three remarkable LED spots to their Events line. Their EventLITE series is now a wireless party light effect richer, namely the EventLITE 7/4 , which features 7 4-watt RGBW-LEDs that bathe objects or walls in multi-coloured light via DMX or WiFi.
