The Meinl DJW3GAB is a real pearl from Meinl's high-quality Floatune series. Djembes from this series have no holes drilled into them whatsoever, resulting in optimal shell resonance. Where usually a number of holes are drilled into the shell for attaching the lugs, the Floatune system attaches everything to a metal band around the shell. As a result, the shell can resonate freely, producing a beautifully rich and warm djembe sound. This 12" djembe has a striking Gold Amber Burst finish, and sports a natural goatskin drumhead.

Meinl DJW3GAB-M: unique djembe

Meinl crafted this unique 12" Floatune djembe from rubberwood. A special S.S.R rim allows for comfortable playing and prevents you from hurting your hands. Thanks to the Floatune system, you can easily adjust the drumhead's tension or swap it out altogether. All hardware has a chrome finish, and the shell has a decorative band around it with the colours of the South African flag. In short, it's a top-quality djembe, suitable for advanced percussionists.
