General

More than 30 years ago, Roland changed the face of dance music forever with the introduction of the legendary TR-909 drum machine. Today, they pay homage to the TR-909 with a strictly limited DJ-99 2-channel mixer that is ideal for DJs who like to scratch and battle. It's equipped with a mini InnoFader and has a well-structured layout. It's DVS-ready, which means that it's compatible with digital vinyl systems. The DJ-99 has been given the same colours as the drum machine it honours, complete with striking orange accents.

Features

The 909 Celebration Special Paint that decorates the DJ-99 will certainly help it stand out, but it's not just its looks that are impressive. Both channels feature a 3-band EQ and offer phone/line, DVS or CD inputs so that you can play normal or digital vinyl as well as CDs. The on-board controls are kept nice and simple to help you perform to the best of your ability in the heat of the moment. The DJ-99 is a special mixer with modern functionality and a link to the past.

NAMM 2016: RCF and dB Technologies Present Spin-Off Mixars

The last couple weeks, we've only seen online teasers of the new brand, Mixars. Apparently, the brain behind this company is in Italy at dB Technologies! Yes, that's right. dB Technologies is known for a countless number of smooth-sounding active loud speakers. It's therefore pretty remarkable that this brand is announcing their debut in a time where the DJ market seems pretty over-saturated as it is.
