General

The release of the Rane MP2015 caused quite a stir at the NAMM 2015. No-one had anticipated that Rane would come up with such a remarkable combination of classic rotary mixer features and modern technology, developed in collaboration with the world's best house and techno DJs.

Features of the Rane MP2015

Specifically designed for high-resolution audio sources, the Rane MP2015 is a techno and house club mixer for high-end audio systems with unparalleled sound characteristics. It's particularly suitable for the playback of vinyl and uncompressed files like WAV and FLAC. To a great extent, the mixer owes its outstanding audio to its AKM Audio 4 Pro modulator converters, which meet the highest quality standards of professional recording studios. Additionally, the MP2015 is equipped with three-way sweep filters, dual 24-channel USB sound cards, a three-band main mix isolator and a sub mix channel that allows you to group any number of inputs for multi-source mixing. That means you only need a single set of controls to operate all functions, instead of dealing with various knobs and buttons on multiple channels.

Design

Featuring a full metal chassis and a sturdy front panel, the Rane MP2015 is a real eye-catcher. The sides of the mixer have been fitted with stylish wooden panels that sport the Rane logo, and all rotary knobs and buttons have aluminium caps that provide a nice contrast with the matte black control panel. With this rotary mixer, Rane has issued a device that is not just exceptionally durable and reliable, but that sets a new industry standard in both sound and features. The MP2105 is truly an extraordinary feat.

RANE DJ MP2015 Rotary Mixer
Wrote the following about RANE DJ MP2015 Rotary Mixer

NAMM 2016: RCF and dB Technologies Present Spin-Off Mixars

Thursday 21 January 2016 By Lizanne

The last couple weeks, we've only seen online teasers of the new brand, Mixars. Apparently, the brain behind this company is in Italy at dB Technologies! Yes, that's right. dB Technologies is known for a countless number of smooth-sounding active loud speakers. It's therefore pretty remarkable that this brand is announcing their debut in a time where the DJ market seems pretty over-saturated as it is. It's been years since a serious DJ brand appeared out of nowhere, and the Italians sure seems determined to succeed with their entry-level product range and is ready to take on some heavy competition.
