General

The Pioneer DJM-850-S DJ mixer combines user-friendliness with a wide range of high-grade effects and functions. During the development phase, Pioneer have put much thought into the user-friendliness of this mixer. You can tell by the easily accessible and intuitive operation structure. This DJ mixer has no redundant bells and whistles and will make any DJ feel right at home. Its layout largely resembles that of regular club mixers, so you can easily switch between the two. The DJM-850-S certainly doesn't lack in editing options: it has borrowed several effects from the DJM-900nexus.

The three sample rates of the DJM-850-S
At the heart of the DJM-850-S is a powerful sound card that can handle input and output with a 24-bit/96 kHz processing rate at the same time. The result is an impeccable sound quality. Due to its three sample rates, the mixer is ideal for recording and producing music, but it is also great for all DJ applications. All important functions can be easily controlled and applied, so the DJM-850-S is very pleasant and easy to use. The practical utility tool, for instance, automatically starts as soon as the mixer is connected to a computer. Peripheral gear can be connected to the DJM-850-S in no time, via the easily accessible USB port at the top of the mixer.

FX Boost and improved Beat Effects
The Pioneer DJM-850 goes all out with its side-chaining option, a genuine studio technique. The Beat Colour Effect is another new addition that seamlessly connects changes in rhythm in relation to other parameters. Additionally, 13 Beat Effects have been improved and certain effects have been borrowed from the DJM-900nexus, such as the beautiful reverb and the tape echo-inspired Spiral Effect. The FX Boost function replicates the unique effects of the DJM-900's X-Pad. The Pioneer DJM-850-S effortlessly combines user-friendliness and high-grade audio.

It's therefore pretty remarkable that this brand is announcing their debut in a time where the DJ market seems pretty over-saturated as it is.
