Indispensable pour les DJ itinérants à la recherche d'un encombrement réduit et d'une qualité plus que satisfaisante.
Een ander groot voordeel van de Z1 is dat deze ook een interne geluidskaart heeft. Daarnaast zit er een voucher in de doos voor de volledige Traktor software, helaas had ik deze al aangeschaft toen ik de X1 kocht.
Mijn advies is om te beginnen met de Z1 en deze vervolgens uit te breiden met de X1.

Erg mooie kwaliteit, robuust en toch subtiel. Zeer eigenwijze behuizing, die steeds precies hetzelfde is als de F1 & X1 wat een mooie combinatie geeft op je desk.
Wel jammer dat de Z1 is uitgevoerd met een hoogglans bovenkant, terwijl de andere spullen altijd MAT-aluminium zijn; juist bij een mixer geeft hoogglans van die onaantrekkelijke vingervlekken bij gebruik.... Native: Gauw (weer) MAT van maken svp, staat ook veel beter bij de F1 & X1.
Ik mag het geen minpunt noemen, maar toch had ik graag een ingang gezien op de unit 1 stereo-AUX (mini-jack) of minimaal 1-mic (/ Hi-Z-instr)-inputs zou ook gaaf zijn, maar ja het is een 'eenvoudige' DJ-Mixer en dat doet hij heel erg goed.
Wel een minpuntje vind ik het ontbreken van een simpele play/stop knop; die is er wel als [MODE}-(A) of (B) - combinatie, maar tijdens je show moet je daar niet over na hoeven te denken.
Bij de andere unit (X1) zit er ook al een PLAY-knop met dubbele functie als HOT-CUE-4 wat me steeds mis gaat tijdens optredens; stom van mij, ik weet het, maar toch: waarom niet gewoon PLAY-toetsje? Of -nog stoerder- faderstart? zou bij een dergelijk professionele unit geen overkil zijn!
De basis functie zijn allemaal aanwezig MET voorafluisering (!) wat de unit ook heel erg geschikt maakt voor je home-studio om een beetje te oefenen zonder veel spullen op je bureau of booth.
Echt een aanrader!
Zit ook de LE-software van Traktor bij wat werkelijk een voortreffelijk programma is.
Ik zeg: DOEN!

conclusie: wil je een compacte midi dj set met bijvoorbeeld een x1(mk2) dan is dit de ideale mixer. top kwaliteit voor een lage prijs

Friday 20 November 2015Native Instruments has announced that Traktor and all related software and hardware are now fully supported by Apple's latest operating system, OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan. Please note, however, that the Traktor 2.10.0 installer is still dependent on the latest drivers. When you install Traktor 2.10.0, this means you'll have to download the latest drivers in order to get it to function properly. To do so, visit the NI Service Center, click 'Update' and then 'Show Details' in the 'Driver and Patch Downloads' section.

Monday 23 November 2015Serato has announced that their software is now supported by Apple's latest OS, El Capitan (version 10.11.1). You can download the latest version of Serato DJ here. There are still a few bugs, but Serato has indicated that they aim to fix those as soon as possible. Here you can read about the issues that still affect Pioneer, Rane, Numark, Novation and Reloop hardware. As mentioned above, Serato is working hard to fix any and all problems.
