The Pioneer HDJ 500 is a comfortable and compact set of headphones with a nice design, good audio and very sharp price. These headphones come in three colours: red, black and this stylish white version. These headphones enjoy such great popularity, thanks to their excellent price-to-quality ratio. They're very fit for use as DJ headphones, but also as regular headphones!
HDJ 500: design
Pioneer designed the HDJ 500s with the HDJ 2000s in mind - a fact that is clear in the design. With the HDJ 500s, Pioneer managed not only to create stylish headphones, but to offer a product that is comfortable and easy to use. The ear pieces are made from urethane and feature quality leather cushions, so you know you can count on comfort during long listening sessions whether you're on the road or working on a set.
Audio quality
Most importantly, the HDJ 500s deliver excellent audio quality with bright lows and mids, making them ideal for DJs. They come with 40mm drivers and a detachable 1.20-metre cord; an extra 3-metre cable is also included. The HDJ 500s are available in white, red and black.

Inmiddels heb ik deze headset een week of 3, maar ben er zeer tevreden over. Ik lees veel over vies worden/scheurtjes krijgen o.i.d. maar daar heb ik geen ervaring mee. Mijn mening is dat dit uiteindelijk niet de schuld van de producent of product is, maar gewoon eigen gebruik. Ik ben er erg zuinig mee, de kwaliteit van het leer voelt goed aan (uiteraard is leer van een headset ook te verzorgen, net als een jas of schoenen!) en het schoonhouden van het frame kan natuurlijk een verkleuring lang tegen gaan.
Ook hoor ik veel over pijn aan de oren na meerdere uren luisteren. Dit heb ik éénmalig ervaren icm het dragen van oorsieraden, die ik nu dus niet meer draag en geen last van heb.
Kortom, een fijne headset, waarbij de prijs/kwaliteitverhouding enorm goed is. Bij goed onderhouden van de hoofdtelefoon kan ook de witte kleur mooi blijven. (En anders zijn er ook andere kleuren van deze hoofdtelefoon die ook mooi zijn uiteraard...) ERG tevreden mee!
Het is ook voor dagelijks gebruik een perfecte headset. Ik ben het eens met alle eerdere recenties. Lang op je hoofd is pijn aan je oren. Ik begin na ongeveer een uur dit pas te merken. Verder ben ik het 100% eens met de recentie van Dries k. Mijn leer op de oorschelpen is ook zo goed als weg, scheurtjes hier en daar, maargoed hij is ook door weer en wind gegaan.
Ik heb een HDJ1000 gehad, HDJ2000 en nu een HDJ500. De 1000 was mn eerste en top. Deze gaf dezelfde problemen als de 500 maar ging allemaal net iets langer mee. Eerlijk gezegd vind ik de 500 mooier geluid geven dan de 1000. De 2000 vond ik niks. Na 2 weken weer doorverkocht. Ik vond het geluid dat eruit kwam niks. Te lage bass en te hoge high. Uiteindelijk de 500 gekocht. Dit is wel echt een briljante headphone. Ik vind dat uit de 500 het beste geluid komt! Wat Dries k. ook zegt; na jaren gebruik nog steeds dikke bass. Het geluid stelt je echt niet teleur (al denk je dat misschien wel aan de hand van de prijs).
Nogmaals ik luister puur voor mijn eigen plezier en vermaak. Stop met zoeken als je geen dj bent (of beginnend) en hem voor in de trein, fiets of gewoon ergens staat te wachten zal gebruiken.
Mijn advies is ook; koop ook een zwarte, want wit wordt erg snel vies en ranzig. Blijf in ieder geval wel bij een 500! Veel plezier ermee!

is heel handig en werkt zeer goed. heb hem nu al 3 jaar in gebruik op feestjes of gewoon weg op mijn kamer! de 2 kabels zijn zeer handig want een lange kabel wil je niet altijd op je bureau hebben liggen. ook de mini jack naar grote jack is zeer praktisch.

Ik heb deze Pioneer HDJ-500 2 dagen geleden besteld en hij kwam vanmiddag binnen en ik heb 'm nu een paar uurtjes en ik vind 'm nu al geweldig! Ik had eerst een paar hoofdtelefoons van Sennheiser geprobeerd maar toen ik deze beluisterde vond ik 'm veel beter dan Sennheiser!
