Besides the cool V-shaped body, this kit also contains all the other parts you'll need to build a complete instrument (except for tools). Assembly and fine-tuning is all up to you, so you can tweak this model to suit your preferences. This reasonably priced kit doesn't just offer a fun, creative pastime, you'll also get a cool instrument out of it.

Boston DIY guitar kits

Wrote the following about Boston KIT-FV-10 DIY V-style guitar kit

Bij een kit mag je verwachten dat alle geleverde delen op elkaar passen. Bij deze was dat helaas niet het geval.

De voorgeboorde schroefgaten kwamen niet overeen met de uitsparingen voor onderdelen & overlapten zelfs bij de uitsparing voor de jack connector.

Zonder handleiding geleverd (zoals beschreven) maar van een online te vinden versie word je niet wijzer qua bedrading, deze mag je zelf uitvogelen evenals welke pickup waar hoort.

Het is zeker aan te raden om de hals & body eerst te schuren voor je er verf op aanbrengt, deze zijn onregelmatig & hebben anders vele lagen lak nodig om glad te worden.

Deze kit kan ik alleen aanraden als je kennis hebt van elektronica en als je bereid bent zelf een nieuwe body te maken.
