It doesn't matter if you got your heart set on a flexible overdrive stompbox or an ideally stackable distortion effect; the Ages Five-State from Walrus Audio offers both! Since this effects pedal comes loaded with five different gain-state modes, it can be combined with almost every any electric guitar model to spit truly timeless sound. You're offered two low-gain settings, one of which is more bright and transparent while the other sounds more compressed and round, and when it comes to the high-gain settings, there are three variants to flip through: impossibly tight, staggeringly huge, or balanced and rich. And, if you start to miss the true sound of your guitar somewhere down the line, just turn up the Dry pot to blend it in. This Limited Edition offering comes stamped with Japanese Kamakura-style artwork.

De 5 verschillende typen overdrive verschillen allemaal net een beetje van elkaar qua karakter, waardoor je met dit pedal veel verschillende overdrive geluiden tot je beschikking hebt. De knoppen hiervoor spreken redelijk voor zichzelf en de bijgevoegde handleiding geeft een kijkje achter wat de verschillende "modes" inhouden.
Zelf heb ik de Kamakura editie aangeschaft, omdat ik uit die lijn ook al de Lore had staan.
Ik ga nog veel plezier hebben met het uitproberen van de verschillende klank mogelijkheden.
