Housed in a durable little stompbox, the Mad Professor Super Black Boost/Overdrive comes inspired by a certain of range black and classic California-made guitar amps from the '60s. To make the absolute most of this true bypass pedal, you can link it up to the return of your effects loop or combine with just a power amp while you use it a preamp. Then, after you've dialled in the gain and volume to taste, you can fully sculpt the rest of your foundation sound using the 3-band EQ and Presence pot. Simply flick the mini-switches if you need to reign in the bass and balance out the tone, or engage the Drive control for Sweet Honey-style overdrive. Finish up by fine-tuning the volume and you're ready to drop little sonic bombs.
