The stealthy Keeley Mk3 Driver Andy Timmons Full Range Overdrive pedal encapsulates a full spectrum of drives, from boost all the way to fuzz - essentially amounting to an overdrive workstation. Sculpt everything from a squeaky clean boost to drive sounds framed by sparkling trebles, or from the overdrive of a crystal-clear valve amplifier to a square-wave-style germanium fuzz - and more. This overdrive plants a high-quality blues driver circuit at your feet, and sticks more options than you could ever dream of beneath your fingertips. This stompbox even features a selectable true bypass mode as well as a noise-free buffered bypass mode.

The Keeley Mk3 Driver Andy Timmons Full Range Overdrive: Next Level

The control section starts with a classic set of Tone, Level and Drive pots for shaping the output, balancing the effect volume with your dry signal and dictating the distortion level. But the two mini-switches mounted just below where the true tonal potential lies. These independent switches toggle between two different drive and tone variations, so in RK Drive mode, two germanium diodes are activated to deliver a softer and lighter compressed drive; in AT Drive mode, the drive is brighter and clearer, with extra articulation. To polish off your bespoke overdrive and gain next level guitar sound, simply switch up the Tone mode.

Ik gebruik deze als een first gain stage naast een JHS AT+ overdrive. De Mk3 driver (ook wel bekend onder de naam Muse Driver maar die naam moest aangepast worden vanwege rechten) is een veelzijdig overdrive pedaal met een vintage karakter geinspireerd/gebaseerd door de Blues Driver van Boss. De Tone, Drive en Level pots zijn zeer gevoelig en samen met de RK (Robert Keeley) en de AT (Andy Timmons) switches goed voor een uitgebreid arsenaal aan toon mogelijkheden. Prachtige cleans als je het volume van je gitaar terugdraait en met de Gain lekker open komen er krachtige "fuzz-like" tonen tevoorschijn. Ik heb hem net maar dit pedaal krijgt een vaste plek op mijn pedalboard.
