Fulltone's Full-Drive1 is an effects pedal that gives you the type of overdrive that was popular around the end of the '90s without the built-in boost. It's easy to use and has controls for volume, tone and overdrive as well as a mini switch. The latter gives you three different modes for extra versatility: CC (comp cut), V (vintage) or FM (flat mids).

Hij is afgeleid van de tubescreamer (zelfde chip) maar ik gebruik hem in de compcut-mode en dan geeft ie alleen maar pure op amp distortion als je hem lekker open draait. Als je hem niet ver opendraait heb je gewoon een warme clean boost.
Vergeleken met een normale tubescreamer blijft er wél meer bas over en in de cc-mode is er nauwelijks compressie, wat ik heel fijn vind.
Het is interessant om dit pedaal op een hoger voltage (deze mag tot 18 volt) te gebruiken, of om daar in elk geval wat mee te experimenteren. Het maakt écht uit.
De Fd1 klinkt over het algemeen redelijk donker. In combinatie met mijn versterker vind ik dat fijn maar ik kan me ook voorstellen dat het voor sommigen een dealbreaker is.
Zeker voor de prijs kan ik dit pedaal alleen maar vijf sterren geven. Het moet bij je setup passen maar het is absoluut een perfect pedaal.
