General
The Electro Harmonix OD Glove is an overdrive/distortion pedal that touches upon the sound of an old British Plexi guitar amplifier with EL34 tubes. Its distinctive, dynamicsound - thanks to its renowned MOSFET transistors - is nearly bursting with trebles, without losing any of its transparency. The OD Glove can also be used as a clean booster, to powerfully overdrive a tube amplifier. The electronics of the pedal are protected by a durable die-cast housing.
The sound of the OD Glove
The modern OD Glove delivers an overdrive or distortion that hits you like a ton of bricks. Use the three knobs and the mid boost switch to effortlessly alternate between crystal-clear clean, warm creamy crunch, and deeply saturated high gain. The internal voltage switch, meanwhile, allows you to choose between the somewhat suppressed tone of a tube power amp and a tighter, more focused sound.

voor Hammond-klanken. (Nord C2D)
Pas op, op de interne overdrive van de Nord is op zich niets
aan te merken, maar Nord verkoopt ook goed en uiteindelijk
gaan we allemaal hetzelfde klinken. Daarom heb ik een aantal
EHX-pedalen geplaatst om zo mijn eigen, unieke sound te creëren.
En ik heb goed gekozen, wat een mooie, warme en brede overdrive.
Dit pedaal is Jon Lord & beyond, Marshall in a box.
Net wat ik naar op zoek was.
Als je dit pedaal aanschaft en je gebruikt een adapter (niet meegeleverd),
vergeet dan niet om de 9V batterij eruit te halen want die zit er reeds in
en is aangesloten, dus beter om die eerst te verwijderen, je weet maar
nooit welke schade het kan aanrichten na enkele jaren.
Enig minpuntje misschien, het uitgangsignaal bromt nogal maar dit is wel eigen
aan dergelijke overdrive (en distortion)-pedalen dus ik trek er geen ster voor
van af.
De gain knop heeft een geweldige range, en zo ook de tone knop!
De tone shift knalt een redelijke partij mids erbij, zonder storend te zijn. Dit zou een clone zijn van de bijna 200 euro OCD, maar het is niet zomaar een clone pedaaltje. Deze staat zijn mannetje, en ik heb de juiste keus gemaakt.

Voor het geld is het een goed pedaal, maar ik denk wel dat je al een versterker met een mooi gain kanaal moet hebben om er echt met volle tuigen van de kunnen genieten. Door een clean amp blijft het pedaal een beetje introvert klinken.
Levering weer helemaal perfect.
