General
The Electro Harmonix Hot Wax Dual Overdrive is a combination of the Hot Tubes and Crayon overdrive pedals. The left side of the pedal is home to the Hot Tubes overdrive which is a reissue of the classic 1970s CMOS overdrive that's very responsive to the attack of your pick, while the right side of the pedal houses the Crayon that's a full-range overdrive. Each is great in its own right, of course, but just imagine what can be done when they're used together!
Hot Wax Dual Overdrive: three sounds
When combined the Crayon drives the Hot Tubes overdrive, essentially giving it an extra boost. This results in a very rich overdrive with plenty of gain. You can fine tune the sound using the 2-band EQ and you can also add your original clean signal into the mix using the blend control which can be especially useful for bass players. If you want three overdrives in one pedal for ultimate versatility, this is exactly what the Electro Harmonix Hot Wax overdrive pedal gives you.

1. Digitale overdrive van welke prijs dan ook is het niet, nooit voor mij.
2. De dure Keeley tone workstation is een prachtig ding, maar de overdrive te netjes.
Deze HotWax is mijn ding, heel responsive. Zacht spelen bijna clean, iets harder aanslaan lekker randje of drive en volume knop open is lead. Mijn hele basisgeluid is dit pedaal, de reverb uit de versterker, de delay of andere frutsels die je soms nodig hebt haal ik uit een MS50. Dit meng ik met een Lehle parallel L in de chain, ook al is de MS50 heel transparant. Ik wil een volledig analoog pad van mijn snaren naar mijn AMP (VOX AC10).
