This compact effect pedal by Electro Harmonix is a reissue of the original Hot Tubes overdrive. EHX noticed that the legendary vintage Hot Tubes effect was still much in demand and responded by issuing this compact, modern Nano update. The Hot Tubes Nano is equipped with CMOS overdrive circuitry, ensuring powerful tone amplification that really comes into its own when its combined with a tube amplifier. The stomp box has a typical EHX design with a durable metal housing that can take a hit, and its looks are similar to those of its predecessor.
Hot Tubes Nano: reissued charm
A foot switch with LED indicator enables you to turn the distortion on and off. A trio of controls - volume, overdrive and tone - allows for a wide range of different sounds, from subtle to powerfully overdriven. Naturally, the Hot Tube Nano pedal has a true bypass feature, which means it won't 'contaminate' your effect chain. The tone circuit can also be bypassed for untainted distorted delight. In short, the Hot Tubes Nano is a modern, compact and very reasonably priced edition of the good old Hot Tubes.

- encore et toujours ces footswitchs durs et très bruyants...décidément "attachés" à toutes les pédales EHX.
- Une petite perte (mais bien audible) dans les graves : Un potard de Blend aurait été le bienvenu...
Les différents essais que j'ai lus dans la presse étaient très positifs . Et c'est justifié . Il y a un grain très particulier sur les basses , les aigus ressortent bien . Je l'ai aussi essayée avec une TS 808 : on arrive à avoir un crunch très chaud . Avec l'ampli à lampes c'est un régal . Le son des guitares est bien respecté .
On mettant l'overdrive au 1/4 j ai pu boosté un peu une MXR WYLDE en lui donnant une sonorité légèrement plus agressive . Par contre avec une BOOS DS2 : pas d'interêt
Le potentiel de cette pédale est étonnant et vu le prix ......
