General
The Behringer X32 PA mixer is a popular product. A PA mixer alone usually isn't enough, though. This is why Behringer have developed this S16 digital snake, a digital break-out box that works via a network connection. A network connection is made via an AES50 connection between your X16, X32 or another AES50-compatible, digital PA mixer. Thanks to the fast contemporary network speeds, thick multi-cables are no long required and signal loss is kept to a minimum. Besides that, you will be able to enjoy steady audio quality directly from the source onwards, as the S16 is equipped with on-board microphone preamps that can be remote controlled. This allows you to neutralise the signal before the signals are sent to your mixer. The microphone preamps are equipped with phantom power!
Optimal connectivity with the S16
The S16 is equipped with 16 inputs with high-quality microphone preamps, as well as 8 servo-balanced XLR outputs. You are supplied with a nice collection of inputs and outputs! By means of an AES50 network, you can use several S16 armatures, so that you can, for instance, make use of 32 inputs and 16 outputs. An ADAT interface is also included, so that channels 1-8 and 9-16 can be separately copied to external peripherals. This could come in handy for concert recordings, where it isn't always the PA sound that needs to be recorded.
Klark Teknik and Behringer join forces!
Klark Teknik have clearly had a hand in the development of this digital snake. Thanks to their contribution, the most extreme performances can become a reality! You can, for instance, control 48 channels bidirectionally via CAT5 with a 48 kHz sample rate, or 24 bidirectional audio signals at 96 kHz! This means that optimal digital quality is maintained, preventing that signal loss and disturbance-sensitive elements become a weak link in the chain.
Please note: this product comes with a 2-year warranty which is extended to 3 years upon registering it at Behringer within 90 days of purchase.

It’s really easy to set up and I’ve had no issues at all. Being able to control 48v and each mic pre amp from the stagebox is great. Having this amount of functionality is brilliant. My only slight niggle with it is that there isn’t enough space for tape to label the channels (but that’s me properly nit-picking). I highly recommend it.
Livraison rapide, prix canon, bravo Bax Shop !
