General

The View Quest Retro Mini portable clock radio has a retro design as well as Bluetooth functionality and an AUX input. It's just 20 cm high, weighs less than 1 kilogram and is powered by means of four AA batteries that can provide enough juice for up to 25 hours of music. Listen to your favourite radio stations via DAB, DAB+ and FM and save up to 30 stations as presets. The Retro Mini offers a mini jack aux input as well as Bluetooth connectivity so you can playback music from your MP3 player or stream it from your mobile device. The View Quest Retro Mini also has a headphone output so you can listen to music in private wherever you happen to be.

In the near future, old-fashioned AM/FM radio will be replaced by digital radio, also known as DAB radio (Digital Audio Broadcast). DAB protocol has been in development since the '80s, and now it's making room for the more efficient and comprehensive DAB+. DAB+ utilises AAC audio instead of MPEG-2 audio. Because AAC audio deals with available bandwidth more efficiently, other media such as traffic information, program information and slide shows can also be transmitted via DAB+ protocol
