General

For the LX700 series sound, Roland has strayed from the beaten path. Instead of using samples to emphasize fluctuations in dynamics, the LX708 sound is generated by the PureAcoustic Modelling Technology for a similar sound construction as found in an acoustic grand piano. The way the keys are pressed, the way the hammers hit the strings and the way sound resonates in the sonic chamber, all resemble an acoustic grand piano for ultimate expression and dynamics. To recreate the same feel, the Hybrid Grand keyboard features elongated keys for a lighter feel when struck a little higher up. Even the three Responsive Damper Action pedals respond as quickly, accurately and sensitively as top model acoustics. The LX708 is the flagship of its series and, as such, also boasts the most powerful speaker system. This version comes in a Charcoal Black finish.

Acoustic Projection

The LX708 features eight speakers divided into four pairs that accurately reproduce your playing, including those all-important subtleties. Compared to other models from the LX700 series, the LX708 is slightly taller and comes with a lid that can be opened and closed to vary the sound much like you would with a concert grand piano. With it, you'll have access to the sounds of electronic pianos, organs, orchestras and two different concert pianos, including the acoustics of a concert hall, studio or cathedral, all of which can be combined using the layer and split modes. With the TwinPiano mode, double headphone connectors, various play-along songs and scale practise exercises, the LX708 even lends itself well to educational purposes.

Connection Options

The LX708 features Bluetooth technology so you can play your own audio files and put its superb sound quality to use. This can, of course, also be done using the aux input or USB port. The USB B connector can be used to record your sessions and save them as MIDI or WAV files and to connect to your computer also. The piano can also be connected to a mixer, external speaker or other devices via the line outputs. Lastly, the LX708 is compatible with piano apps like Piano Every Day, Piano Designer and the Roland Piano app which grants access to tools to help monitor your progress as well as training tools and more.

Roland LX708-CH Digital Piano (Charcoal Black)
Wrote the following about Roland LX708-CH Digital Piano (Charcoal Black)

These instruments have the same options as a keyboard, but their housing (with stand) ensures they don't stand out too much in your living room.
