The Yamaha YDP-S52B is a delightfully compact, yet comprehensive digital piano. Thanks to its slim design, it can easily fit in your living room, bedroom or hobby room. Two speakers, driven by two 20-watt amplifiers and supported by Yamaha's sound-enhancing Acoustic Optimizers, deliver a sound that is pleasant and natural in both the high and the low end of the frequency spectrum. Plug your headphones into one of the piano's jack outputs, and you're treated to a remarkably natural sound and an unparalleled spacious image, courtesy of the modern Stereophonic Optimizer.

YDP-S52B: convincing grand piano sound

At the heart of the YDP-S52B electric piano is a Pure CF sound engine that delivers an authentic grand piano sound. It uses the tones of the Yamaha CFIIIS, a renowned concert grand that's used all over the world. An impressive polyphony allows you to play no fewer than 192 samples simultaneously, ensuring a natural playing experience. Even during the most complex passages or intense use of the sustain pedal, not a single note will be dropped. Would you like to feel as if you're playing in a jazz club or a concert hall? Simply use one of the digital piano's four reverbs.

Playing comfort and ease of use

The overall quality of a digital piano is not only determined by its sound; feel plays a big part too. With the YDP-S52B, you're in luck; the keys of its Graded Hammer keyboard feel just like real ivory and are absorbent, which is great for those long playing sessions. The instrument's basic controls are made even more accessible if you use an optional i-UX1 (and, if necessary, a 30-pin to Lightning adapter) to connect your iPhone or iPad.
