General

Digital pianos usually have an attractive design, but some people just favour the looks of a real acoustic instrument. With their NU1 WH digital piano, Yamaha offers the perfect middle way. Its technology and features are fully digital, but its classic design will have people believing you have an actual acoustic piano in your living room. Furthermore, a special hammer system ensures the keys feel incredibly realistic under your fingers, as do the three pedals (with half-pedal support) under your feet. If you didn't know for a fact this was a digital piano, you'd have a hard time believing it!

NU1: the sound of a CFX concert grand

For a digital piano, sound plays an important part, and you can count on Yamaha for that. For its tone generation, the NU1 relies on samples recorded from a Yamaha CFX concert grand. The CFX is an incredibly expensive instrument that is often found in concert halls, but thanks to this Yamaha digital piano, you can now also enjoy its magnificent sound at home. Add a bit of reverb, close your eyes, and you'll imagine yourself on that stage in front of a raving audience.

Built-in speakers and various connectors

When you play the Yamaha NU1 digital piano, a set of powerful built-in speakers guarantees that your performance really comes into its own. Do you prefer to practise quietly? No problem, simply plug a pair of headphones into one of the piano's two headphone outputs. A recorder allows you to capture your own performance using the instrument's USB port, and you can place your sheet music on the piano's sheet music stand. When you're done playing, a keyboard lid keeps the keys safe from dust and other dirt.
