General

The Yamaha NP-31S is a silver coloured keyboard from the Piaggero digital piano series. This keyboard is designed for the pianist who wants the sound and feel of an acoustic piano with the portability and soft touch of a keyboard. The NP31S is equipped with 76 Graded Soft Touch keys and incredibly realistic and expressive Yamaha instrument sounds. It is compact and stylish with a smooth finish, and at only 5.7 kg it's a true lightweight. What's more, you can easily take it everywhere with you, because the Yamaha NP-31S is not only lightweight but is also powered via mains power or batteries.

Yamaha Piaggero NP-31 Silver: first-class Yamaha sound
The fantastic sound of the Piaggero NP-31S is thanks to Yamaha's AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) stereo-sampling technology, in combination with a polyphony of 32 notes. This works to make the instrument sounds not only natural, but also dynamic and expressive. The NP31S offers over 10 high-quality sounds: two grand pianos, two electric pianos, two organs, two harpsichords, strings and vibraphone. On either side of the keyboard is a 6-watt speaker for a gorgeous, deep, clear stereo image.

Additional keyboard functions
A metronome and tuner naturally aren't missing from the Yamaha NP-31S. This keyboard isn't missing any inputs or outputs either! It has a headphone jack so that you can practise quietly, an input for an optional sustain pedal, and MIDI in/outputs, meaning you can connect the NP31S to your computer and use it as a MIDI controller. The keyboard can operate for six hours on only six AA alkaline batteries. Finally there is a built-in automatic off-switch so the instrument shuts down after not being used for a given period, which saves energy.
