Whether you've been playing the piano for some time now or are anxiously looking forward to your first lesson, you want a model that can handle all imaginable piano music. An acoustic would do the trick, but if you haven't the space to spare or have a couple of easily-annoyed neighbours, a digital piano is a great alternative. Fortunately, Yamaha packs decades of experience building these instruments and the Arius YDP-164 is their latest, stylish yet affordable, rosewood-finished model.

Realism and Power

The Yamaha YDP-164 contains all the essential ingredients for convincingly realistic piano playing experience: a stunning piano sound based on the famous CFX grand piano and a natural feeling keyboard with Graded Hammer Standard keys. With the essentials in place, Yamaha decided not to add too many extras, so the piano remains affordable but still offers everything a pianist needs. Compared to the 144 model, this digital piano is outfitted with more powerful speakers that can effortlessly fill a large living room with mesmerising piano chords. Thanks to synthetic ivory and ebony keys, the keyboard of the YDP-164 even has all the feel of a grand piano.
