The Yamaha Arius YDP-162B Black Walnut digital piano gives you the powerful sound of the Yamaha CF3S concert grand. The CF3S is a 274cm deep grand piano with a price tag you could cash in for about five mid-priced cars. The YDP-162B is, in that case, a whole lot more economical and has tons of interesting extras. Playing this digital piano feels natural because of the Graded Hammer Touch technology which allows you to play heavy keys that can also be adjusted. Improved from the YDP-142B, the YDP-162B has a slightly larger cabinet and 20-watt speakers as opposed to the previous model's 6 watts. The sound of the 162B is thus fuller and grander.
Additional features
Not only do you get the sound of the CF3S grand, but in total there are 10 sounds included with the YDP: three grands, two electric pianos, harpsichord, vibraphone, two organs and strings. You can play two sounds simultaneously, such as the famous piano-strings combination. Get cosy playing a duet with another pianist using Duo mode, which allows two people to play simultaneously, each with his own (transposed) side of the keyboard and his own middle C. You'll feel like you're in a beautiful concert hall with the built-in adjustable volume and reverb. To complete the picture, you can record your sessions with the built-in recorder.
Digital pianos: are they really that great?
Yes! And the further technology advances, the bigger and more resounding that "yes" becomes. Of course decades ago matters were different--lower quality, less expression. Luckily these days a digital piano is an excellent alternative to a real piano. The advantages are numerous: a digital piano is less expensive, easier to transport (especially up the stairs), and a headphone jack is available so you won't bother your neighbours. Above all, a digital piano with the sound of a grand concert piano fits easily in your home. A real piano, of course, is and will remain irreplaceable, but a digital model definitely wins in practicality and affordability.

Sinon produit de bonne qualité, je le recommande à ceux qui vivent en appartement pour pouvoir jouer à toutes heures :-)
Ik ben beginner en kan deze piano aanraden vanwege de goede klank, maar ook de betaalbaarheid en hij staat gewoon erg mooi in onze woonkamer (het oog wil ook wat!!!)
Ik heb zelf een aantal youtube video's en reviews bekeken alvorens de definitieve knoop door te hakken, om voor deze digitale piano te gaan (Uiteraard heb ik hem ook eerst zelf bespeeld en daarnaast nog een aantal andere modellen). Ik moet zeggen dat hij door meerdere reviewers erg goed ontvangen wordt in de lagere budget klasse.
Ik ben erg blij met de aankoop. Ook het geluid door de koptelefoon is goed.
