General

Whether you're a beginner or a more advanced player, Roland's RP501R digital piano will aid your development as a pianist. Thanks to Roland's SuperNATURAL sound engine technology, it produces rich and expressive sounds that are highly realistic. Despite its compact size, the RP501R is equipped with built-in speakers that are capable of delivering plenty of volume that can be controlled using the separate up and down volume buttons. If you want to practise in silence, simply plug in a set of headphones. The Ivory Feel PHA-4 keyboard is capable of adjusting to your playing style the more advanced it becomes. Weighing just 41 kg and measuring 43.2 cm in depth, the PR501R is the ultimate compact digital piano.

Motivation

It's not always easy to stay motivated when you're learning to play the piano. Fortunately, the RP510R has a few functions on board to keep you going through those difficult practise sessions. There's a built-in metronome to help you improve your timing and a recording function so that you can listen to your progress. With audio and MIDI playback (for which you'll need a USB stick), you can play along with your favourite songs through the on-board speakers. Put the RP501R in Twin Piano mode and you can practise together with your teacher or another player at the same time.

305 sounds and 72 styles

As well as the highly-realistic piano sounds, there are over 300 other convincing sounds built in. These will help you define your own sound and provide an endless source of inspiration too. Practise sessions are always more fun when you have a huge range of sounds to choose from. There are also built-in rhythms and 72 background styles including pop, rock, jazz and latin. We've already mentioned the USB and MIDI functionality, but in addition to that, the RP501R has Bluetooth connectivity. This means you can use piano apps like Roland's own Piano Partner 2 as well.
