General

The true Kurzweil feel has never been more within your reach than it is with the Kurzweil MPS10. It's a compact digital piano that can be used at home (with the optional stand and bench, for instance), but will also hold it own in any studio or live situation. Finally, after years of development, the next generation Kurzweil sound chip has also found its way to the MPS10. And that's readily apparent, as the sounds (taken from the PC3 series) are of the highest quality. They're both realistic and dynamic, and that effect is only enhanced by the MPS10's fully weighted keys.

MPS10: clarity is king

Where some Kurzweil synths can cause a minor case of sensory overload with all their buttons, faders and submenus, the MPS10 ensures that everything is clearly laid out. The panel features a volume knob, sound selection, split/layer controls, a recording option, sound and rhythm selection and various submenus. Furthermore, it also sports the new dot matrix LED display that is featured on many Kurzweil models. Above all, however, the MPS10 is an instrument that was designed to be played, and the excellent keyboard offers plenty of room and possibilities for personal expression.

Sounds

Having a good keyboard is one thing, but your instrument's sounds will have to rise up to that same level of quality. Luckily, the MPS10's sounds certainly do that. For instance, it features the legendary Triple Strike Grand Piano, and you'll find various combinations of pianos and pads, strings or choirs. Tasteful Rhodes, Wurlitzer and Clavinet samples are also featured, as well as a selection of strings and orchestra presets (for which Kurzweil has a great reputation). The 88 presets were chosen to allow for a suitable sound for any song or situation. Finally, thanks to the 2 built-in 10W speakers, you'll only need one power socket in order to play the MPS10.

Kurzweil MPS10 digital piano
Wrote the following about Kurzweil MPS10 digital piano

Wrote the following about Kurzweil MPS10 digital piano

Thanks to their wooden housing, digital pianos usually blend in nicely with the rest of your furniture. Keyboards, on the other hand, tend to stick out a bit more. These instruments have the same options as a keyboard, but their housing (with stand) ensures they don't stand out too much in your living room.
