General

The Casio Privia PX-860BK is the black edition of the PX-860 from the popular Privia series. Compared to the PX760, this digital piano has a richer and more convincing sound, thanks to features like String Resonance, a Key Off Simulator and a Lid Simulator, which simulates the difference between an open and a closed lid. It also boasts more speakers and a Hall Simulator that imitates the characteristic reverb or various famous concert halls. A built-in audio recorder, meanwhile, enables you to record up to 99 songs in WAV format to a separately available, regular USB stick. You can even play back files from USB memory! For a complete piano experience, the PX-860BK comes with a stand and three pedals.

The PX-860BK: a comprehensive digital piano

If you want to learn how to play the piano, but are quite picky when it comes to sound, the PX-860 is an excellent choice. Not only does it produce remarkably authentic sounds - such as various grands, electric pianos and organs - it also offers a number of interesting digital features. Particularly inspiring is the Music Library, which features 60 built-in songs. Thanks to the included sheet music and the option of switching the left or right-hand part off, you'll learn how to play those in no time. Additionally, the PX-860BK's Concert Play feature offers ten built-in songs that, besides sheet music, come with orchestral backing that makes your practice sessions genuinely special.

Sound and playing experience

To precisely register the force of your key strokes, the PX-860BK is equipped with a tri-sensor mechanism. Quick repeats are accurately reproduced and this Casio is even capable of simulating the tiny differences in timing that occur due to different playing styles and keys. To make the sound really authentic, factors like attack, sustain and decay have been taken into account, and you can clearly hear the difference in timbre between softly played passages and more vehement parts. Damper Resonance effectively simulates the rich resonance that's audible when you press down a sustain pedal, while the equally impressive String Resonance reproduces the sound of strings resonating along with a lower note. Finally, it's possible to influence the overall timbre of the Privia PX-860BK by opening the lid that covers the speakers.

Oogstrelend ontwerp!

These instruments have the same options as a keyboard, but their housing (with stand) ensures they don't stand out too much in your living room.
