General

When you invest in the Casio Privia PX-160BK digital piano, you're investing in a top-quality instrument. At this price, the Privia is really accessible to anyone who is serious about playing the piano. There's an optional stand available, but it can just as easily be place on a table. When not in use, simply store the Privia on its side in a closet, for instance. That way, you don't sacrifice any space and it's always accessible when you feel inspired.

Features of the Casio Privia PX-160BK

The most important aspects of any digital piano are the sound and the keys. As well as a stereo piano, the Privia also offers other sounds to experiment with. In terms of keys, Casio have equipped this piano with special hammer-action keys coated with imitation ebony and ivory. It has a large polyphony of 128 voices, which is something you'll certainly appreciate when you start layering internal sounds. In no time, you can create a romantic atmosphere using the available piano and string sounds.

Great for piano lessons

Just for beginners, the PX-160 offers some very handy features. First and foremost, there are two headphone jacks so both the student and the teacher can follow the lesson without getting distracted, or disturbing others in the room. In duet mode, the keyboard can be divided in two so each player has the same octave range, just as if there were two separate pianos.

Casio Privia PX-160BK digital piano, black
Wrote the following about Casio Privia PX-160BK digital piano, black

NAMM 2016: Yamaha DGX-660 Digital Piano

Thursday 21 January 2016

Thanks to their wooden housing, digital pianos usually blend in nicely with the rest of your furniture. Keyboards, on the other hand, tend to stick out a bit more. With their DGX series, Yamaha provides the perfect middle ground. These instruments have the same options as a keyboard, but their housing (with stand) ensures they don't stand out too much in your living room. The newest additions to the DGX family are the DGX-660 and the DGX-660WH.
