We know it sounds a little odd, but the Carry-On Folding Piano is definitely a genuine, 49-note digital piano that can be folded up into a mere 39cm long package that weighs just 1kg. Whether you're a beginner or a more advanced player, if you're the travelling kind, this unique digital piano will definitely make life a lot easier.

The Carry-On 49-Note Folding Piano

The Folding Piano comes loaded with 128 sounds and gives you quite a bit of choice, but if that doesn't cut it, you can simply connect up your laptop via USB-MIDI for access to a sample library. The piano features built-in speakers and a battery that lasts for up to 8 hours on a full charge, and thanks to the fitted headphone mini-jack, you can practise privately whenever you want. To sweeten the deal, Carry-On include a gig bag, a USB cable and a sustain pedal.

Deze opvouwbare piano past in je fietstas. Het is licht en draadloos. Dit is allemaal heel handig!
Het geluid dat de interne speakers maakte is heel erg slecht. Maar als je een bokje er op aansluit klinkt het apparaat plotseling als een “echte” digitale piano!! Dit is dus zeer aan te raden.
De toetsjes maken wel wat extra klikkend geluid, maar voor de prijs is het echt een handig ding.
Omdat het de helft van de normale aantal toetsen heeft, zit er een transponeerknop op die een octaaf transponeert. De grote versie met 88 toetsen transponeert de toonsoorten zelf. Dat zou fijner zijn geweest.
De handleiding is helaas niet aanwezig, maar die kan je downloaden op de site van Carry On.

Deze kleine opvouwbare piano past in mijn fietstas. Dat is voor mij heel handig. De afgelopen week heb ik deze mini-piano meegenomen naar school en uitgetest in twee onderbouwgroepen. De jonge kinderen keken nieuwsgierig naar mijn kleine pakketje. Wat zou er in zitten? Voorzichtig klapte ik het plastic doosje open en de kinderen keken verwonderd naar het kleine toetsenbord. Toen ik erop begon te spelen, zongen ze mee met de liedjes. Kortom: in al zijn eenvoud is het een zeer handig hebbedingetje.
Verwacht geen al te groots geluid... Een gewoon keyboard klinkt natuurlijk veel beter, maar ja zo'n ding is te groot voor mijn fietstas. Dan moet ik weer met de auto naar school en dat is minder goed voor het milieu. Je kunt dit kleine pianootje gewoon opladen met een usb-kabeltje. Dat zit erbij. Dat scheelt dus weer een boel batterijen.
Wil je toch een beter geluid? Sluit dan een boxje aan. Dat kan via de koptelefooningang. Het spelen op de relatief kleine toetsen went snel. Wel hoor je iedere aanslag, maar daar heb ik geen kind over horen klagen, dus... Gratis slagwerk zullen we maar zeggen. Voor mij is het dus een handig dingetje.
