General

Whether you're just starting to learn your first melodies, or you're ready to upgrade from your beginner's model, the Alesis Recital 61 gives you effortless ease of use alongside the kind of professional quality that will last years. This serious learning tool hasn't been over-filled with a nutty amount of sounds that you'll probably never use, instead, you simply have ten excellent, and ultimately inspiring sounds to choose from. Besides that, you get a Split function that literally splits the keyboard in half so that you can play one sound with your right hand and a different sound with your left, and you can even stack sounds on one another and play them at the same time for a truly unique effect.

The Alesis Recital 61

The semi-weighted keys of this model provide an incredibly comfortable playing feel and two built-in 20 Watt speakers reproduce your playing with great sound. If you'd prefer to practice more privately, or even in silence, you can plug your headphones in and the speakers will be automatically switched off. On the back, a pair of RCA sockets are fitted so that a second instrument, a mixer, amplifier, or an audio interface can be connected, not only making the Alesis Recital a great rehearsal and home recording instrument, but a more than capable stage companion.

Piano and Keyboard Lessons

The Alesis Recital also comes fully prepared for both piano and keyboard lessons. By activating Lesson mode, the keyboard is split into two halves of the same pitch, so that two people can play the same piece, in the same key and at the same time. This is a great teaching tool or if you just want to play the same piece with a friend. Alesis have even gone as far as including a free 3-month subscription to Skoove, an extensive course that can be followed at your own speed - an excellent addition if you've yet to start taking lessons.

Thanks to their wooden housing, digital pianos usually blend in nicely with the rest of your furniture. Keyboards, on the other hand, tend to stick out a bit more. These instruments have the same options as a keyboard, but their housing (with stand) ensures they don't stand out too much in your living room.
