The Soundcraft Si Performer 3: Lights Out, Spot On

Previously, the audio engineer took care of the front-of-house sound while the lighting technician sat isolated, using a separate DMX controller to create the corresponding light show. Here, Soundcraft bring them together in the Si Performer 3 by integrating a DMX512 lighting controller. While the microphones are mixed, the theatre lighting can be controlled using a dedicated set of motorised faders, and fixtures can be connected to a 5-pin DMX port fitted to the back side of the desk. The Soundcraft Si Performer 3 really is an extremely high-end all-in-one live digital console.

Pure Professionalism

For bands rehearsing in their mum's garage, this desk is probably overkill, but for any professional setup that demands a complete audiovisual show, this desk is near essential. 32 microphone inputs are fitted alongside eight line-inputs, for a total of 80 channels. AES in/out, twenty sub-groups, four effects buses, and so much more is also provided that we can't actually fit it on this page.
