Product no: 9000-0007-6747 Bax Music Warranty: This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

General

Mackie likes to keep things simple. Why fit a mixer with a range of knobs and faders, when you can also use an iPad to control your channels? Simply dock your iPad 4 or (with the help of a separately available tray) iPad Mini into the DL806, and you have a full-blown 8-channel mixer at your disposal. The DL806 takes care of the audio-technological processes, but your iPad is in control. Take note, however: if you want to dock an iPad 1, 2 or 3, you're better off with the Mackie DL806 30-pin iPad mixer.

Controls and Effects of the DL806

The DL 806 houses a number of powerful plugins. With your iPad 4 or iPad Mini you're not only able to control the mixer's modern or vintage 4-band equalizer, compressor and gate, but also the reverb and delay effects. For each output, the DL806 has a 31-band EQ, a compressor and a limiter. Once you connect an optional router, the mixer even allows for wireless control. You'll be able to mix using your iPad, iPhone or iPod, while you're walking around the room.

The Connectors

The Mackie DL 806 offers eight XLR inputs, four of which double as jack inputs. That gives you plenty of connectors for a sizeable set of microphones, or a mix of mics and musical instruments. Eight excellent Onyx preamplifiers and Cirrus Logic converters ensure high-quality, low-noise audio with impressive headroom. Connect your amplifier or active speakers to the XLR outputs, and your monitors to the four AUX sends.

Tips or comments about this product

Please note:

  • For the iPad 1, 2 and 3 you'll need a different version of the mixer: the Mackie DL806 30-pin iPad mixer.
  • If you want to use the iPad Mini, you'll require a separately available iPad Mini Tray Kit.
  • The pictured iPad is not included.

Mackie DL806 (Lightning) iPad Mixer
Wrote the following about Mackie DL806 (Lightning) iPad Mixer
