This set is a veritable dream team for the serious mix tech who's done dealing with cables. Thanks to the cunning combination of the Behringer X32 digital mixer and the S16 Digital Snake, your wiring diagram will be drastically simplified. Not only does this dream duo rid you of the irritation of being surrounded by cables, but it prevents errors and reduces the risk of cable breakage and other technical glitches. The complete set includes a Prodjuser flight case for the X32 and a 20m DAP Ethercon cable for digital signal transmission.
Behringer X32: flexible workhorse
From the time of its introduction, the X32 has been lauded for its features. Aside from the lightweight and relatively compact housing, it also features a crystal-clear, user-friendly TFT display, which always gives you an efficient overview of the current volume, effect and routing settings. High-end preamplifiers ensure refreshing vocals, and the advanced DSP processors simulate legendary hardware effects - all features that typically cost many times the price of the X32. Everything you need for live mixing is within hand's reach with the Behringer X32.
Digital Snake S16: digital signal transport
With the S16 you can unlock the true potential of the X32; this snake has 16 inputs with mic preamps that can be controlled from a distance. The connected channels are sent to the X32 via a single CAT5 cable, and can be bridged from a distance of up to 100 metres. Also, should you so choose, you can mount the S16 in a rack and equip it with the latest software via USB. Finally, the included Ethercon cable is 20 metres long, which should be sufficient for a variety of live settings. This Behringer X32 package is an affordable, efficient, smart mixing solution.

It’s really easy to set up and I’ve had no issues at all. Being able to control 48v and each mic pre amp from the stagebox is great. Having this amount of functionality is brilliant. My only slight niggle with it is that there isn’t enough space for tape to label the channels (but that’s me properly nit-picking). I highly recommend it.

We gebruiken hem om de X32 aan te sluiten op de digital snake.
Veel makkelijker dan zo'n dikke multikabel :)
We hebben hem jaren met veel plezier gebruikt.
Geen dikke kabels meer naar 'front of house' en perfecte integratie met de X32.
We hebben hem wel weer ingeruild voor z'n grotere broertje omdat we ingangen te weinig hadden, maar dat doet niks af aan het product :)
Regelmatig updates door Behringer (helaas moesten we laatste wel de tafel opnieuw instellen, maar we hadden zelf de backup niet goed gemaakt) die steeds weer verbeteringen meebrengen.
Ideaal met de scribble scripts en heel flexibel in te stellen.
Geluid is perfect en we gebruiken hem met een digitale snake zodat we geen dikke kabel meer naar 'front of house' hoeven te leggen.
Onze technici hebben geen klagen (meer) sinds deze aanschaf. De Android app werkt perfect en is heel handig om samen te werken (de één aan de tafel en de ander met de tablet).
Overigens hebben de muzikanten ook geen klagen meer door het zelf kunnen regelen van de monitor kanalen via de app.
Met 16 uitgangen (8 stereo bussen) hebben we meer dan voldoende voor de monitoren.
We gebruiken hem ook om via USB sporen op te nemen. Dat werkt heel prettig met (bijv.) Reaper.
Al met al een heel goede investering waar we nog veel plezier van gaan hebben.
Hem ingesteld krijgen als DAW controller is een beetje tricky, maar niets dat niet opgelost kan worden.
