Gemini Slate 2 controller for Serato DJ Intro
Product no: 9000-0009-1917 Bax Music Warranty: This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

General

This compact controller by Gemini offers you full control over your Serato DJ Intro software. It is the smaller brother of the Slate 4 and offers the same functions in an even smaller package. DJ-ing with software has become increasingly more popular over the years and the demand for good controllers is still growing. Gemini heed the call with the Slate 2.

Features of the Slate 2 controller

The Slate 2 has several features that'll allow you to get even more creative in your virtual mixes. Its pads can be assigned to do several things: start samples, start and set hot cues as well as Serato DJ Intro effects. These pads each have RGB LEDs that change colour to show what they are assigned to do. The eye-catching jog wheels are mainly for scratching, but they're also great for mixing. At the heart of this controller, there's a mixer that is coupled to the software, granting you access to the EQ and filter section. Moreover, the entire controller can be converted to work with other software via online MIDI maps or some proper late-night programming.

The audio section of the Slate 2

The audio section of this controller gives you a great combination of features. There's a built-in sound card that converts the sound from the computer into an analogue signal or vice versa, enabling you to connect a microphone. You can use the mic to address your audience, but you can also sample your own voice using the Virtial DJ software, creating fantastic on-the-fly effect samples. The master mix finds its way out through two RCA outputs or via the built-in headphones connector.
