These days, you can even get various spin-offs like the Marine Band Crossover. This model uniquely features a laminated bamboo comb for extra-bright sound and moisture-resistance, and has an extremely airtight construction to ensure a fast response and clear dynamics. This is the D-major version.
The Hohner Marine Band Crossover
The reed plates inside this diatonic harmonica are 0.9mm thick and have twenty reeds in total. The cover plates are made of stainless steel and have been finished with a Crossover logo, while the mouthpiece is coated in SuperGlide lacquer for a smooth feel. Any edges have been rounded off for even more playing comfort, and since Hohner have opted for a modern compromise tuning, the Marine Band Crossover can basically take on any style.
