General
With over 150 years of experience, Hohner has gained quite a bit of renown, especially when it comes to harmonicas. However, even before accruing all that experience they already proved their worth by releasing the Marine Band Classic harmonica, which has been a top contender since 1896! What's more, its design and sound have remained unchanged since then. It's still the same great instrument, that's made with the same love and care. Many professional harmonica players still choose the familiar classic, and it's been featured on works by Bob Dylan, Paul Butterfield and Little Walter, for instance.
The Marine Band Classic A
You can recognise this harmonica from its rich tone, its musical range and the distinctive pearwood comb, that gives the Marine Band a warm core sound. This model is tuned to A, which is a key that's commonly used for playing songs in E. It features a pearwood comb and mouthpiece, a brass reedplate and reeds, and stainless steel cover plates.
Hohner quality
The Hohner brand has been synonymous with high-quality products for over 150 years now, and the Marine Band Classic does nothing to harm that reputation. This beautiful instrument, which is still crafted and tuned by hand, truly lives up to the legacy.
