General
On the very top of the highly successful Bass Driver Series, sits the Tech 21 SansAmp Bass Driver Deluxe. This bass guitar preamplifier generates all the succulent, full-fat and 100% pure analogue sound of its smaller siblings, along with an XLR output for direct connection to the mixer and, much like the Programmable, the Deluxe provides three footswitches for fast setting changes. What the Deluxe offers on top is a parallel output, two instrument inputs and a very special fourth footswitch that toggles the bank/instrument or bypasses the FX loop when hit twice.
The Bass Driver Deluxe: A Mass of Sound and Simple Operation
With a Tech21 SansAmp Bass Driver DI Deluxe backing you up, you're getting incredibly simple yet detailed control over your sound. Six control pots can be manipulated to shape a plethora of possible amplified tone, from way-back-when vintage, to crunching or rumbling modern and by hitting the channel switch twice, up to six of your painstakingly sculpted presets can be saved. Alternatively, the Bass Driver can also simply function as a neutral DI while, in terms of power, this box can take a standard 9V battery, run on a power supply or even take phantom power directly from the mixer.
