This passive two-channel DI box effortlessly converts two unbalanced signals to two balanced signals. The adjustable attenuation control can accommodate a wide range of signal levels. Because this DI box is passive, no power is required to deliver the pure signal. The housing and finish on the DJDI are as robust as you'd expect on a product by DBX. This box is built for heavy use and tough enough to withstand life on the road.

Aangeschaft om een aardlusprobleem op te lossen. Het apparaat voldoet enigszins. Wel heel fijn dat het een heel robuuste behuizing heeft.

Prima DI. Voldoet aan de verwachtingen.
De omschrijving vermeldt echter niet de verhoudingen van de trafo.
Ook is de verzwakking niet duidelijk omschreven, deze blijkt in de praktijk (van asymmetrisch naar symmetrisch) -23,5 dB te zijn. Wel heel erg veel! Handig om te weten.

Ook staat er op de DI zelf 'Balanced In/Out' bij de XLR connectoren.
De DI kan dus ook omgekeerd gebruikt worden (zoals bij nagenoeg elke trafo).
Maar de handleiding rept daar geen woord over.

Plus van een DJ (lees: ongebalanceerde lijn signalen) DI verwacht je veel minder verzwakking. Je wil vaak de output gewoon balanceren en inbrengen op een line ingang van je mixer. Dan is 23,5 dB verzwakking wel heel erg veel. Mooier zou zijn als de potmeter een groter bereik had en de wikkel verhouding meer naar 1:1. Maar dan wordt het al snel een actieve DI ivm. de impedantie correctie.

Zeer handige DI die standaard in je toolcase thuis hoort. Werkt gewoon top. Wel heb ik het idee dat het geluid iets verzwakt wordt. Maar goed dat is bij te gainen.
