This DI box is ideal for those who want to convert a lot of unbalanced signals into a balanced signal. Eight DI boxes in one housing! This DI box converts unbalanced signals into balanced signals, but it is also possible to directly connect an amplifier output. You can connect systems with a wattage of up to 3,000 W.
It is also possible to boost the signal in order to create an optimal volume. You can branch off the incoming signal to a guitar amp. If you only want to boost the signal without balancing it, you have a balanced output at your disposal.

Each DI channel can be powered from phantom power which wasn't something I'd realised before purchase and is a nice additional feature.
Sturdily made, I expect it to last a long time.
Mooi in een 2U kistje ingebouwd en makkelijk in je podium opstelling mee te nemen. Enige is dat ik nu wat langere Jack kabels moet gebruiken, maar dat mag de pret niet drukken. Per kanaal kan je schakelen tussen de "interne" stroom voorziening of het gebruik van je phantom power via je stagebox of direct vanaf je mixer. Nu 2x een gig mee gedaan, niets meer dan los!
Veel ingangen met groundlift, -20 db etc. Externe voeding moet je geen phanton kunnen/willen sturen.
Enig nadeel kan misschien zijn dat je geen xlr ingang hebt maar dat lijkt mij niet vaak voor te komen en is eventueel makkelijk en goedkoop op te lossen met een simpel verloopstukje.
Voor de prijs van 3 vergelijkbare DI's krijg je er hier 8 in de plaats dus echt een top product!
Enig minpuntje is de brom van de transformator in de DI 800 (het huis trilt een beetje) Een stukje vilt kon dit euvel oplossen.
Makkelijk in een patch-rack te monteren en zo ideaal voor live-sound gebruik.
+ punten:
- Eenmaal in je patch-rack geen omkijken meer naar, dan is het plug and play :)
- Geen gedoe meer met losse DI-Boxen op een podium
- De verlichte knoppen aan de voorkant maakt het makkelijk om op de donkere plekken waar je rack meestal staat snel overzicht te krijgen.
- punten:
- De Mic. level outputs zitten aan de achterkant, dus wanneer hij in een rack zit moet je eerst de aansluitingen doorvoeren naar de voorkant.
Conclusie: Het is voor live-sound gebruik ideaal. Eenmaal geinstalleerd is het simpel om te gebruiken.
