General
The SPL-D2 is a decibel meter. It can be used as a stand-alone device or combined with a DateQ SPL-5 limiter. The display is made of high-efficiency bi-colour LEDs, making it clearly legible, even from a distance. When the pre-set dB is surpassed, the LED colour turns red, quickly showing you whether the sound is too loud. Combined with the SPL-5, this is a professional sound limiter that both warns and sanctions, nipping excessive sound levels in the bud.
DateQ SPL-D2: stand alone
When you use the SPL-D2 separately, you connect the included microphone and mount it to a fixed point, after which the measured levels appear on the display. The included software allows you to set the maximum sound pressure level. Should it be surpassed, the digits light up red, serving as an optical warning for bands and DJs, for instance. There are three measuring curves: ANSI-A, ANSI-B and ANSI-C. Naturally, to be absolutely certain, you can optimally calibrate the microphone. The display is automatically dimmable, dependent on how much light is around it. A professional audio tool.

duidelijk display en werkt verder goed.
Duidelijk afleesbaar display dat via de software makkelijk te dimmen is.
Met een XLR kabel is de bijgeleverde microfoon makkelijk op het juiste meetpunt neer te hangen.
Jammer is wel dat er eigenlijk voor het kalibreren een handheld meter nodig is.
Door Baxshop vooraf erg goed geïnformeerd hier over door hun helpdesk.
Dus geen verassingen achteraf.
En binnen 24 uur in huis
Werkt enorm snel, is heel duidelijk en heel eenvoudig in het gebruik.
Wat ik als nadeel ervaren heb, is dat de bijgeleverde beugel ontworpen is voor op de muur. Een M8 of M10 bout erdoorheen, bij deze locatie moest hij in het grid komen, is dus niet mogelijk. Deze heb ik moeten uitboren.
Ook zit er geen tweede moer in de meter zelf. Een safety eraan maken moet dus op een andere manier.
Verder prima apparaat, zeer tevreden!
