Step by step, that's how the learning process works. Same goes for software. Cubase is enormous, and whoever expects to some day master this famous pack needs to be prepared to take some baby steps. Steinberg recognises the need for starter software and invites you to begin with the Steinberg Cubase Elements 8 sequencer. The pack has been considerably thinned-out and has received a more attractive price tag as a result; but if you think it's become too limited to create anything worthwhile, think again.
Properties of the Steinberg Cubase Elements 8
To give you an idea: Elements 8 has 48 audio and 64 MIDI tracks. Just try and fill all those tracks without your creative juices being drained out of you and turned into mush! Especially for beginners, it's clear that the possibilities are more than sufficient. This pack includes dozens of plug-ins (instruments and effects), so you can start producing straight away. Halion Sonic SE2, Groove Agent SE4 and Prologue are just a few of the highlights in the included virtual instrument line up. Effects that deserve special attention are the channel strip modules and the VST Amp Rack in the PitchCorrect, a plugin that can make anyone's vocals sound in tune. Of course it's also possible to use third-party plugins. With a range of both commercial and free virtual instruments and effects to choose from, the possibilities are virtually endless.

A new window system allows you to place Cubase function windows anywhere on your desktop, which means you won't need to enlarge your Cubase window anymore. Those who work with multiple screens will jump for joy! ASIO Guard 2, a kind of latency manager, ensures that the latency remains small where it matters, and becomes larger where possible. The instrument rack has been vastly improved; the plugin is now visible and you can operate essential parameters. Navigation between transients in your audio is also easy - Cubase automatically filters out the peaks in the background, which you can decide to use if you want.
Tips or comments about this product- Please note: you do not need an eLicencer for this product, so one is not included. If you use this product on more than one PC/Mac, then you will need a USB eLicencer (Steinberg key).
- Cubase is installed from a DVD, but can also be downloaded instead (after product registration with Steinberg).

eindeloos veel mogelijkheden.
Veel software voor het geld!
Alle basis plugins zoals galm, delay reverb compression enz enz zitten er bij. Er zijn erg veel goede gratis VST plugins te downloaden i.c.b. deze versie van cubse kunt een proffesioneel geluid krijgen voor bijna elk budget
Werkt tot nu toe met alle VST plugins die ik gebruikt heb ook EZdrummer werkt perfect.
Ik gebruik Windows 7 64bit dat zou met cubese beter moeten zijn dan win8 of 10,
De XR 18 die ik gekocht heb doet het prima maar op een of andere manier wil hij niet een audio interface zijn met mijn Mac book pro, ik zou het op prijs stellen als iemand mij daar eens mee kon helpen.

Cubase ondersteund het VST protocol en bij installatie van EZDrummer wordt ook de VST extentie geinstalleerd. EZDrummer kan prima gebruikt worden met Cubase.

Ik had al een tijdje Cubase in gedachten, omdat ik de interface en manier van werken prettig vind, maar ik zag het niet zitten om bijna 500 euro uit te geven aan een MIDI sequencer, dus vond ik "Cubase Elements" een uitstekende keuze.

- MIDI randomization (hiermee kan je de MIDI opnames die je maakt "menselijker" doen klinken)
- MIDI cc Automation (zodat je vrijwel alles op je synthesizers kan besturen)
- Groove opties/Swing
- 48 Audio Tracks
- Prima bijgeleverde effecten
Ik zie op veel sites staan "voor de beginner", maar laat dat je niet afschrikken. Cubase Elements is misschien niet genoeg voor mensen die tientallen VSTs gebruiken, maar als je werkwijze bijna alleen maar met outboard gear is, is dit alles dat je nodig hebt.
Tijden zijn veranderd. Cubase Elements is op hetzelfde niveau van kwaliteit als de proffesionele Cubase van jaren terug.

Excellent séquenceur que j'utilise avec Windows 10 en X64. (Quelques petits soucis de compatibilités avec Windows 10 mais Steinberg les a répertoriés et prépare une mise à jour en conséquence.
Personnellement je l'utilise en connexion avec un clavier arrangeur Yamaha Tyros 5 et la compatibilité est parfaite.
Au vu du prix, c'est un produit à conseiller.
