Wanneer het programma is geinstalleerd dan blijk je nog een licentie nodig te hebben voor het effect Reverb. Dit zou bij de UR44 zitten maar de UR44 is reeds 5 jaar oud. Een simpele vraag over de licentie aan de helpdesk van steinberg levert geen antwoord op.
Bij bestelling via Bax-Shop ontvang je per post een klein doosje met daarin een papiertje met de activatie code. Beetje suf, want het is sneller en milieuvriendelijker om deze code te e-mailen, maar goed. Er is dus geen cd/dvd, de software download je via het installatie programma dat je op de Steinberg website vindt. Daarin voer je de activatie code in wat resulteert in de product code. Werkte prima, in 5 minuten had ik mijn 30 dagen proefversie omgezet!
Ik heb met opzet de procedure gevolgd die Steinberg zelf op hun website voorstelt, dus met gebruik van hun Steinberg Downloas Assistant (SDA). Maar na uren wachten op de volledige installatie blijkt het automatisch meegeleverde licensie-programma een probleem op te leveren waardoor activeren (en dus gebruik) van Cubase onmogelijk is. Onbegrijpelijk en onacceptabel en na 4 werkdagen nog steeds niets gehoord van de helpdesk.
Après téléchargement et installation de plusieurs logiciels téléchargeables avec ce code, la prise en main est assez complexe mais par essais/erreurs et avec l'aide du forum de steinberg, je finis par arriver à sortir un son et même ma première réalisation musicale au bout d'une journée. Néanmoins pour profiter pleinement des instruments virtuels (Halion Sonic 3 SE et Groove agent 5) fournis avec Cubase Elements 11 il me faudra acheter une carte son USB externe.
Pour finir, le logiciel Cubase Elements 11 semble très complet mais nécessitera une période d'apprentissage pour le néophyte.
