Cubase Artist 8 includes everything you need for a professional production. From composing and arranging to recording and mixing - it's all possible with Cubase Pro 8's numerous effects and instruments. Thanks to a sample rate of up to 192 kHz and a 32-bit floating point, the program delivers high-quality audio with virtually infinite headroom. As far as effects are concerned, you have a choice of 73 audio effects and 18 MIDI effects, including the VST Amp Rack, REVerence convolution reverb, and the Voxengo CurveEQ. In short, you'll have enough tools to turn your creative outbursts into a professional production!
Steinberg Cubase Artist 8: low CPU processing
The entire mixing engine has been comprehensively updated so that automating, routing and metering all run more smoothly. Another important improvement is the render in-place function, which enables you to bounce audio and MIDI tracks, including effects, to a new audio track. That way, you'll never overtax your CPU, even with complex FX or MIDI setups. The new 'MIDI tempo detection' function allows you to play along with and adjust the tempo of a MIDI track, and Cubase Artist 8 will follow.
Allen Morgan Pop-Rock Toolbox
The following problem is probably not unfamiliar to most producers: a flow of creativity has to be quickly put into music, but before you can open a complete session with instruments, that flow has disappeared. The Allen Morgan Pop-Rock Toolbox has been specifically designed for Cubase Artist 8 to conquer that problem. The Toolbox consists of 30 different construction kits with at least 25 audio and MIDI tracks per kit, each of which are hooked up to different instruments and effects. Using this Toolbox, you'll be able to quickly turn your ideas into demos, without having to set up a time-consuming session first. Steinberg understands: your creativity is top priority!

Deze versie is wel 45% goedkoper dan de PRO versie maar mist wel een aantal opties.
Je kunt bijvoorbeeld geen tracks kopieren vanuit een ander project,
het aantal tracks is gelimiteerd, geen tempo detection, geen VarioAudio.
Ik denk dat ik uiteindelijk toch nog ga upgraden naar de PRO versie, maar voor nu is het prima.
