General

In order to allow students to get to know their software, Sony offers budget-friendly editions for educational institutions. With this downloadable 5-pack edition of Sony Sound Forge Pro Mac, educational institutions are able to equip five of their Mac work stations with the popular Sound Forge software. This Mac version of the renowned audio editor offers diverse functionality but is still easy to work with. Sony has included a nice collection of iZotope plug-ins, and the software supports FLAC (a file format similar to MP3, but lossless). The new metering, which complies with CALM standards, allows you to maximise your dynamic range without crossing any of the CALM limits (which were set as a measure against the infamous loudness war).
