If you’re a student or a teacher then you can get the Ableton Live Standard with a 40% discount! The swift, unique user interface features an accessible, comprehensive menu format, and three expansive virtual instruments along with 37 effects provide you with the tools you need to compose a fantastic track or mix.
Live 9 Standard Educational: features
Ableton Live 9 Standard has a full-fledged digital arsenal of sounds. Along with recording your own instruments and samples, you also have access to three expansive instruments—Drum Rack, Impulse and Simpler. In addition to that, 37 powerful effects are also available for mixing. The Glue compressor is an exciting tool developed in collaboration with Cytomic that helps you make your drum tracks shine, and the versatile EQ Eight is also included so you can easily edit your sound in detail.
Requirements
In order to be eligible for the educational version you must meet some requirements set by Ableton. You must be a student or a teacher who teaches at least 20 hours a week. You are also eligible if you’re following an Ableton course (weekend seminars excluded). In order to activate your license, you need to e-mail or fax a copy of your valid ID and a copy of your proof of enrolment/employment to Ableton. If you meet the requirements your license will be activated and you can get going with your new software!

You can receive the educational discount if you:
- are currently registered as a full-time student (high school students included)
- are a part-time student (more than 20 hours per week)
- are taking an Ableton Live class (not including weekend seminars)
- work as a teacher at a school or university Part-time and private teachers need to be teaching at least 20 hours a week to qualify.
After buying this product you can contact Ableton to do an educational verification. You can do that via Ableton' s support page or by sending a fax to 0049-30-288-763. Include your full name and a valid e-mail address, the Ableton Live serial number, a copy of your driver’s license or ID, a copy of the valid student or teacher ID card or an official letter from the school with a signature and stamp.
