General

Barely any bigger than a USB stick, the Audioquest Dragonfly Cobalt turns your phone, tablet or computer into a high-end media player. If you're using a superior-grade set of headphones to listen to music via your phone, you're probably not getting the best possible audio quality. Lower frequencies are going to be missing punch while the mid and high frequencies lack detail. This simple little DAC bypasses the standard audio-chip of your mobile or tablet, sends the signal through a highly sophisticated (and highly regarded) ESS ES9038Q2M chip and converts it into an analogue signal. The teeny tiny 2.1 Volt ESS Sabre 9601 amplifier, having already proved itself with the Dragonfly Red, effortlessly drives the most demanding models of headphones. The Dragonfly Cobalt comes with a USB to USB-C adapter included.

AudioQuest JitterBug USB Filter - the First of Its Kind!

Wednesday 15 July 2015

USB is one of the most well-known interface connectors in the age of computer audio. External sound cards are usually connected to a computer using USB, for instance, and virtually everyone has a USB drive with music on it. The only problem is that electronic equipment can cause interference and noise in your audio. When that happens, the quality of your sound rapidly deteriorates, and in extreme cases it might even cause your audience to walk out the door, taking your reputation with them.
