With a name like Rock Performance, it's pretty clear what this set is about. Obviously, these cymbals are great for many other types of music as well, but their impressive volume makes them especially well suited to rock music. The Sabian XSR-5009B Rock Performance Set consists of a pair of 14" Rock hi-hats, a 16" Rock crash and a 20" Rock ride. Each of these cymbals is a little heavier than the regular XSR models, giving them more volume, but thanks to the series' high quality they still offer excellent response and a rich, bright sound.

XSR series

Both cymbals are part of the Sabian XSR series, which is the successor to the XS20 line, made using the same production techniques that are used for the X-plosion and Evolution cymbals. It offers the same quality as these highly popular series of cymbals at a much more affordable price. All XSR cymbals are made of Sabian's B20 bronze and have undergone extensive lathing and hammering. What's more, they have a redesigned profile that emphasises the material's naturally rich and bright sound!
