General
Using a crossover is a real must for a passive audio system. In order to make sure that speakers are not unnecessarily overloaded, the woofer needs to receive different tones than the satellite speaker. You can use the S-3 to accurately balance what is sent to the different components. This crossover lets you send out four mono channels and put in up to three channels in stereo mode. Setting the threshold frequencies is easily and quickly done and thanks to the separate rotary knobs for gain, you can select how much power is used per output. A delay can also be activated via the crossover, so that you can compensate for time differences between the woofer and satellite speakers. This is especially practical for the sound in larger spaces.
At the rear of the S-3 you will find a complete row of XLR connectors, two of which are inputs, while the other six are used for sending out the signal. To prevent overloading, Samson have installed limiters on the outputs.

Je kan hem in verschillende standen zetten (2-weg, 3-weg,...)
Hij is zeer makkelijk te hanteren en door de verschillende standen word er aangegeven welke knoppen je moet gebruiken.
Past ook zeer goed in een 19" rack.
Makkelijke aansluitingen op xlr.
En zeer goede levering door bax shop!
Heb deze inmiddels in alle modussen getest en durf gerust te stellen. Geen ruis gehoord, en ruime instelmogelijkheden. Kortom ben zeer tevreden over dit produkt welke zeer zeker niet onderdoet voor een DBX crossover maar wel een stuk goedkoper is en daarnaast nog eens drie jaar garantie geeft.
Echt een sterk staaltje van Samson. Overigens bevallen de enkele jaren geleden aangeschafte apparaten van Samson mij tot op heden zeer goed. Zij doen wat zij moeten doen tot op heden zonder klachten nu bijna 5 jaar.
Voor mij zal Samson eerder een keuze zijn op dit gebied dan Behringer maar dat is persoonlijk.
Ik kan allen maar zeggen Samson ga zo door.
