This 20-inch Sabian crash is the largest cymbal in the AAX Heavy Series, meaning it has plenty of body and more sustain than its smaller siblings. While that makes perfect sense, what you might not expect is the surprisingly huge amount of cutting power this cymbal offers. Having received Sabian's Autofocus Response treatment, the frequency range of the cymbal has been 'compressed' to guarantee an enormously focused sound that pokes right through any mix while simultaneously filtering out any unwanted overtones. Finally, the brilliant finish gives the 22009XCB AAX Heavy Crash a bright character with enough complex lows to maintain interestingly potent sound.
